Las Vegas might be known for luxury shopping…
but there’s another kind of shopping where the excitement comes from having absolutely no idea what you’re going to find.
Thrifting.
You might walk in looking for a $10 shirt and walk out with vintage glassware, a lamp, an old Vegas collectible and a chair that you now have to figure out how to fit into your car.
And honestly?
That’s half the fun.
I looked at traditional thrift stores, charity shops, clearance outlets and curated secondhand stores around Southern Nevada to put together five worth exploring—plus a bonus #6 exclusively for GoodEnergyRealty.com.
Inventory, hours, discounts and promotions can change, so verify current information before making a special trip.
#5 — Buffalo Exchange: Curated Secondhand Fashion 👕
📍 1209 S Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89104
Located in the Las Vegas Arts District, Buffalo Exchange is a different experience from a giant traditional thrift store.
The focus is primarily secondhand and vintage fashion, shoes and accessories.
It’s also a buy-sell-trade store. Shoppers can bring qualifying clothing and accessories in while the store is open without an appointment, meaning inventory continually changes.
Why Go?
If you like secondhand shopping but don’t necessarily enjoy digging through hundreds of unrelated items, this gives you a more curated experience.
And because you’re already in the Arts District, you can easily turn it into an afternoon exploring Main Street.
Current hours:
Monday–Saturday: 11 AM–8 PM
Sunday: 11 AM–7 PM

#4 — Deseret Industries: Classic Treasure-Hunt Thrifting 🛒
📍 4655 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89121
📍 3750 W Craig Rd, North Las Vegas, NV 89032
Sometimes you don’t want curated.
You want to DIG.
Deseret Industries operates two Southern Nevada locations, including East Flamingo in Las Vegas and Craig Road in North Las Vegas.
This is much closer to the classic thrift-store experience: donated merchandise, changing inventory and the possibility of finding something you weren’t remotely planning to buy.
Why Go?
Because that’s what real treasure hunting is.
You aren’t guaranteed to find exactly what you want.
But on the right day…
you might find something much better.
The Las Vegas South location currently operates Monday–Saturday from 9 AM–6 PM and is closed Sunday.

#3 — Savers Henderson: BIG Selection 🏺
📍 1231 W Warm Springs Rd, Building F, Henderson, NV 89014
If your preferred thrifting strategy is:
“Give me as much stuff to look through as humanly possible.”
Try Savers.
The Henderson store is located behind Sunset Station and carries:
Clothing & shoes
Housewares
Books & media
Electronics
Toys & games
Sporting goods
Small appliances
Small furniture
Current hours are:
Monday–Saturday: 9 AM–9 PM
Sunday: 10 AM–8 PM
Something Worth Knowing
Savers is a for-profit company, not a nonprofit thrift store.
However, its Henderson donation center accepts donations on behalf of local nonprofit partner SafeNest, and Savers pays the nonprofit for donated goods it receives through that partnership.
That’s a useful distinction to know when deciding where you shop or donate.

#2 — Goodwill Clearance Center: The Bins 👀
📍 7940 S Valley View Blvd., Suite 100, Las Vegas, NV 89139
This is NOT regular Goodwill shopping.
This is:
THE BINS.
Goodwill of Southern Nevada describes its Clearance Center as having tons of clothing, décor, books, electronics and other merchandise organized into bins and sold by the pound at clearance prices.
Why Go?
If you enjoy neatly organized racks…
you have plenty of regular thrift stores to choose from.
If you enjoy the hunt?
This is an experience.
Digging is part of the process, which means patience can sometimes pay off with something you’d never have noticed in a conventional store.
Current listed hours are 8 AM–4 PM daily.
GOOD ENERGY TIP
Give yourself time.
The whole point isn’t to walk in, find one specific thing immediately and leave.
Go hunting.
Goodwill of Southern Nevada also operates 21 retail locations throughout Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Pahrump if you prefer the traditional thrift-store experience.

🥇 #1 — Opportunity Village Thrift Store ❤️
📍 324 S Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89107
Opportunity Village describes this location as:
“The Vegas Valley’s thrifting mecca.”
And there’s a lot to hunt through.
The organization accepts categories including:
Clothing & shoes
Furniture
Electronics & media
Housewares & décor
Books
Toys & games
Current store hours are 9 AM–6 PM, seven days a week.
But here’s where it gets interesting.
Current Weekly Specials
MONDAY:
Select items are 99¢ store-wide.
TUESDAY:
First responders, teachers and military currently receive 30% off eligible donated merchandise.
WEDNESDAY:
Shoppers age 55+ currently receive 50% off eligible donated merchandise.
Certain tags are excluded, discounts cannot be combined, and promotions are subject to change.
Why It Earned #1
There’s another reason beyond bargains.
Opportunity Village says a portion of every dollar spent supports its programs helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities find employment and access services.
So this combines three things I like:
Treasure hunting.
Good deals.
Local community impact.
You may go in looking for one thing…
and leave with five completely unrelated things.
But that’s basically the official definition of a successful thrift trip. 😂

🔐 BONUS #6 — Charleston Antique Mall 🕰️
📍 560 S Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89107
You clicked through, so here’s something a little different.
If your version of thrifting leans more toward:
Vintage.
Antiques.
Collectibles.
Mid-century pieces.
Old Vegas treasures.
this deserves a stop.
The mall currently has 20,000 square feet of antiques, vintage goods and collectibles from more than 95 dealers.
That means one building can feel like dozens of completely different little treasure hunts.
You’ll find categories ranging from vintage furniture and jewelry to art glass, collectibles and unusual décor. It’s currently open seven days a week from 10 AM–6 PM, with free parking.
Why It’s My Bonus Pick
It’s not a conventional donation-based thrift store, which is exactly why I saved it as #6.
If you’re looking for something that actually has some history—or you’re trying to find a piece for your home that doesn’t look like everybody else’s—this is where the hunt gets really interesting.

Thrifting Is Basically Gambling… Without the Casino 😂
You never know what you’re going to find.
Some days?
Nothing.
Other days?
You find the thing you’ve been looking for for $8.
And in a city known for luxury malls and designer stores, I love that Southern Nevada also has this completely different side of shopping.
