Things to Do in Las Vegas & Southern Nevada This Weekend: October 23–25, 2026
If you’re looking for something to do around Las Vegas this weekend, October 23–25 is a GOOD one.
We’re getting close to Halloween, which means Southern Nevada is packed with fall activities—but there’s more happening than just haunted houses.
This weekend includes a dog Halloween walk, Downtown Summerlin’s final Halloween parade, a free cultural celebration in Henderson, family Halloween fun at Springs Preserve…
and Metallica inside Sphere.
Here are my Top 5 things to do around Las Vegas and Southern Nevada this weekend—plus a bonus #6 exclusively for GoodEnergyRealty.com.
#5 — Pet Trick-or-Treat 1-Mile Walk 🐕🎃
📅 Saturday, October 24
⏰ 10 AM–12 PM
📍 Bark Park at Heritage Park — 350 S. Racetrack Rd., Henderson
Halloween isn’t just for humans.
The City of Henderson’s Pet Trick-or-Treat Walk lets you dress up your dog and take a festive one-mile walk along the Heritage Park Trail.
Along the route are treat stations for your pup, so don’t forget a treat bucket. City of Henderson
After the walk, everyone heads to the Agility Dog Park for additional activities, treats and an after-party.
And yes…
There’s a costume contest.
Awards will be given for Best Pet Costume and Best Human/Pet Costume Combo. City of Henderson
Dogs 25 pounds and under have the 10 AM session, while dogs over 25 pounds have the 11 AM session. NV Henderson Web
Why Go?
Because watching 30 dogs walk around Henderson dressed like hot dogs, pumpkins and superheroes sounds like a pretty good Saturday morning to me.

It’s festive.
It’s family-friendly.
It’s in the middle of Downtown Summerlin.
And…
It’s FREE.

#2 — Haunted Harvest at Springs Preserve 🌵👻
📅 October 22–25
⏰ 6–8:30 PM
📍 Springs Preserve — 333 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas
One of Southern Nevada’s popular family Halloween events returns to Springs Preserve this weekend.
Haunted Harvest combines Halloween with the Preserve’s desert-garden setting for a much more relaxed alternative to a full-blown haunted attraction.
Expect trick-or-treat stations, festive crafts, food trucks and spooky surprises throughout the Boo-tanical Garden. Access Vegas
GOOD ENERGY TIP
Don’t simply show up.
Advance reservations are required, tickets must be purchased online and attendance is limited. Parking is free. Access Vegas
Why It Earned #2
This is one of those events that’s easy to recommend to families because it feels like an actual evening out rather than a five-minute trunk-or-treat.
And because it’s happening Thursday through Sunday, you’ve got multiple opportunities to fit it into your weekend.

🥇 #1 — Metallica: Life Burns Faster at Sphere 🤘🔥
📅 Saturday, October 24
⏰ 8:30 PM
📍 Sphere — Las Vegas
This one wasn’t difficult to put at #1.
Metallica is playing Sphere.
Metallica’s Life Burns Faster residency brought the band’s famous No Repeat Weekend concept to Las Vegas.
The October 22 and October 24 performances form one of those weekends, meaning Metallica performs different setlists with no repeated songs between Thursday and Saturday. Linkfire
And Sphere gives the band a visual canvas unlike a conventional arena.
The October 24 show begins at 8:30 PM, with Sphere stating that doors open 90 minutes before showtime. Sphere
IMPORTANT TICKET NOTE
Metallica’s official website currently lists the October 24 performance as sold out. Metallica
Ticket availability through authorized resale channels can change, so check current availability rather than assuming tickets will be available at the door.
Why It Earned #1
There are concerts in Las Vegas every weekend.
There are Metallica concerts.
There are Sphere shows.
But…
Metallica performing a limited residency inside Sphere is an actual destination event.
It’s the kind of show people will travel to Las Vegas specifically to experience.
And if you already have tickets?
Yeah… your Saturday night is handled. 😂

🔐 BONUS #6 — Maryna Krut Live on Water Street 🎶
You clicked through…
so here’s the event that didn’t make the video.
📅 Saturday, October 24
⏰ 7 PM
📍 Water Street Plaza Amphitheater — Henderson
🎟️ $15
Internationally acclaimed Ukrainian singer, songwriter and bandura artist Maryna Krut is performing outdoors at Water Street Plaza.
And this isn’t your typical Saturday-night concert.
Krut blends traditional Ukrainian folk music with jazz and contemporary influences, centered around the bandura—a Ukrainian string instrument that resembles a cross between a lute and a zither. City of Henderson
She’s previously appeared on Ukrainian versions of The X Factor and The Voice and participated in Eurovision competition, and now uses her performances to share Ukrainian culture and stories internationally. City of Henderson
Seating at the outdoor Water Street Plaza Amphitheater is general admission. City of Henderson
Why I Saved This for #6
Because this is exactly what I want the Good Energy Top 5 series to help people discover.
It’s easy to hear about Metallica.
But an internationally recognized Ukrainian musician performing a $15 outdoor concert on Water Street?
That’s the kind of local event you might completely miss unless somebody tells you about it.
OFFICIAL EVENT INFORMATION:
City of Henderson — Maryna Krut in Concert
One Weekend. A Lot of Options.
You could realistically start Friday night with Día de los Muertos…
take your dog trick-or-treating Saturday morning…
catch the final Parade of Mischief…
head to Haunted Harvest with the family…
or go completely in the opposite direction and spend Saturday night watching Metallica inside Sphere.
That’s what I love about living in Southern Nevada.
There’s always something happening—you just have to know where to look.
