⏰ 6 PM
📍 Downtown Summerlin
🎟️ FREE

This is one I’d definitely include in the video because it’s visually perfect for social media.

The Parade of Mischief returns for eight nights in October with more than 60 local youth participating in Halloween-themed floats and performances inspired by characters and themes including Wicked, Harry Potter, Cruella, Hocus Pocus, The Addams Family and Día de los Muertos.

Even better for families: it’s completely free.

🍬 3. Haunted Harvest at Springs Preserve

Here’s another one that gives families a completely different Halloween experience.

Haunted Harvest features trick-or-treat stations and live entertainment, plus kids can test their bravery walking through the spooky “Bootanical” Garden, where Halloween characters are waiting.

Springs Preserve describes the event as a safe, family-friendly outdoor Halloween experience, and attendance is limited. They also warn that tickets are expected to sell out.

Get the costumes ready because Henderson is bringing back its big Trunk or Treat.

Families walk through a trail of decorated vehicles collecting candy along the way. There are also activities, entertainment and a costume contest.

🦹 5. Little Villains Ball

📅 October 23, 2026
⏰ 6–7:30 PM
📍 Henderson

Here’s one that’s different from everything else on the list.

The City of Henderson is hosting its Little Villains Ball as part of its month-long Halloween Happenings series. Henderson also has an unusually large calendar of kid-friendly October events this year, including a Magical Potion Party, Blacklight Boo Bash, Cosmic Swim Freaky Friday, Spooky Birds, Teenie Weenie Halloweenie and more.

So even if the Villains Ball doesn’t fit your schedule, there are several other Halloween activities to choose from.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Halloween Beyond the Pumpkin Patch

There’s a lot more for families to do around Las Vegas during Halloween than just picking pumpkins.

You can ride through a Halloween forest, watch a Halloween parade, go trick-or-treating, explore a spooky botanical garden or dress the kids up for a Halloween ball.

And I’ll be sharing more Things to Do in Las Vegas & Southern Nevada throughout October, including weekend guides, festivals, community events and local activities.

If you’re thinking about buying, selling, renting or relocating to Southern Nevada, I’m always happy to help.
